The first mentions of Mukkula (Mokulla in Swedish) and the owner, juror Muukkainen, are from 1466. The colourful period of the Von Hausen family's ownership started in 1795 and ended in 1958 when the City of Lahti bought the manor. The main building is presumably from the late 18th century, after which it has been expanded several times. The manor has several different styles, such as an empire type cross gable, a porch with columns, and a rococo mansard roof. Nowadays manor honors the old but have also brought finnish design into design hotel.
Mukkula Manor is located next to the beautiful Lake Vesijärvi, about five kilometers from the center of Lahti. The unique manor design hotel provides a venue for conferences, business events, product launches, training events or family parties, such as weddings and birthday parties.
Mukkula Manor has 17 rooms, 3 meeting rooms, restaurant for 70 persons and lakeside sauna. The sauna is situated by the lake Vesijärvi, about 100 m from the manor house. There is two separate saunas and dressing rooms for 20 and 30 persons.
The manor is open to groups by prior appointment.
