Sysmä museum is located in a beautiful countryside opposite the Pyhä Olavi's church. The museum works in an old storehouse where the rural municipality used to store grain. The building dates back to 1855.
The collection of the museum consists of artifacts from stone age to mid 90´s.
The majority of the collection represents the way of life in the end of the 19th century.
