Kiikunlähde (The Kiikku spring) is the biggest spring pond in Finland according to Hollola municipality's tourism website. It is 400 meters long and the widest point is 100 meters.

PLEASE NOTE! Kiikunlähde Spring is a unique and delicate nature site, situated on a private land. The terrain surrounding the spring has suffered from erosion due to the large number of visitors. Please remember that the everyman’s right does not apply to private yards or piers, and littering or trespassing is not allowed.

If you choose to visit, there is a parking space by Kiikuntie Road and you should not drive further. Please do not obstruct the road junctions. There is a viewing platform offering the best photo angle only 300 metres from the parking space. Please remember to respect both the natural surroundings and the privacy of the residents - stay on the route and within the designated location, do not enter the fenced areas. The spring is not for swimming, as it is used as household water source. Please keep dogs on leash.

Kiikunlähde spring has 14 spring beckets which erupt water about 7000m3 daily. In the northern end there is a dam, which has raised the spring pond's surface a few meters and thus formed a small waterfall and a constant year-round stream for mill and sawmill that situated next to the dam. The water continues its' journey along Kiikunoja (The Kiikku ditch) to lake Vesijärvi near the stone church of Hollola. Water temperature in the spring becket is about five degrees, so it doesn't freeze in winter. Hydrogeologically Kiikunlähde is part of Southern Finland's biggest groundwater reservoir, that erupts to three different directions, for example to the Gulf of Finland.
