The first mentions of Mukkula (Mokulla in Swedish) and the owner, juror Muukkainen, are from 1466. The colourful period of the Von Hausen family's ownership started in 1795 and ended in 1958 when the City of Lahti bought the manor. The main building is presumably from the late 18th century, after which it has been expanded several times. The manor has several different styles, such as an empire type cross gable, a porch with columns, and a rococo mansard roof. Nowadays manor honors the old but have also brought finnish design into designhotel.
Mukkula’s unique manor design hotel has 17 rooms, 3 meeting rooms, restaurant and lakeside sauna, more luxurious and spectacular than ever before, on the banks of Lake Vesijärvi. The manor will be open to groups by prior appointment. The manor provides a venue for conferences, business events, product launches, training events or family parties, such as weddings and birthday parties.
