Päijänne National Park | Kelvenne Lagoon Island canoeing route

Show map

Päijänne National Park and Pulkkilanharju Ridge, which cuts through Lake Päijänne, are real treasures for those who love canoeing trips. You can start your trip, for example, from the Mainiemi Canoeing Centre in Padasjoki, where you can rent a canoe and other necessary equipment. The national park comprises a group of islands with steep cliffs, sandy ridges, small reefs and nature trails. You can take a break in one of its sandy lagoons and go for a swim. The park is perfectly suited for water travel, and nearly all parts of the park are only accessible by water. The islands in the national park include campfire areas and campsites.
