Address: Kalkkisten kanava Kalkkinen

The Kalkkinen Canal is located in Asikkala, in the village of Kalkkinen.

The Kalkkinen Canal was built in 1875–1878 mainly for log floating and was renewed in 1961-1964. Over a kilometre long and 20 metres wide, the canal joins lakes Päijänne and Ruotsalainen. The Kalkkinen Canal is a self service canal and it has a lock over 500 metres long.

Kotasaari Island by the Kalkkinen Rapids southeast of the canal has revealed finds from the Stone, Bronze and Iron Ages.
