Tainionvirta river fishing and canoeing

Surrounded by peaceful nature (fields, forest)Tainionvirta river that flows through the Hartola and Sysmä, offers good setting for fishing.

Fishing is possible without wading and the stream is slow enough to allow fishing almost all year around.

There is also a 40 kilometers long canoeing route that goes through Hartola and Sysmä. Canoeing route goes from Jääsjärvi (in Hartola) to Majutvesi (in Sysmä). The route includes 24 kilometres of river and 16 kilometres of lake canoeing.
