Foodcaution in Finland! Finland’s food culture is the most interesting one in the Nordic countries thanks to its unique location between East and West!
Day 1 Helsinki
Arrival to Helsinki and transfer to Helsinki city center. Accommodation in beautiful twin / double rooms at centrally located 4* hotel. Independent dinner.
Breakfast is served at the hotel’s restaurant. The day continues with a 4-hour Helsinki culinary city tour. Free time and independent dinner.
After breakfast, the tour continues to Fazer Experience Centre located at Vantaa. There will be a guided exhibition tour and after the tour it is time to learn the secrets of making the best chocolate in the world!
Later on, transfer to your accommodation, a beautiful countryside hotel located by the lake. After arrival, delicious buffet with seasonal Finnish delicacies is served at the restaurant in a idyllic villa. After lunch, free time in the surrounding area. Day ends to a local kitchen where you prepare a meal for yourselves with the guidance of restaurant chef! The finished meal is enjoyed in the charming dining room.
After breakfast, the tour continues to a farm close to Lahti. The visit includes grinding your own flour, baking program and delicious lunch served at the farm’s Lappish style hut.
Free time and later in the evening, distillery tour and dinner at local restaurant.
Overnight for two nights at centrally located hotel.
Breakfast at the hotel and afterwards guided wild herb, berry- or mushroom picking tour depending on the season! Later in the evening, special menu is served at local restaurant.
After breakfast, the tour continues to Tampere where you learn to bake traditional Finnish buns. After the baking lesson, it is time to enjoy a cup of coffee or tea with freshly baked buns!
Independent lunch and free afternoon to discover the city.
Dinner & overnight in centrally located hotel.
Day 7 Departure
After slow morning, departure to the airport.
